Because of this setup ,the computers do not have to be tethered to the printer and I can print on these computers anywhere in the house. Samsung SCX-4521F Laser Multifunction Machine Print/Copy/Fax/Scan The Linsky PSUS4 PrintServer operated flawlessly through the Samsung Scx-4521F USB port.It enabled a wireless connection to two separate notebook computers.
Great product. I have 2 computers and I want them to share 1 usb laser printer. Installing this was a snap.
While I don't need the extra LAN ports it is nice to have them in case I want to add network storage later.The print server has continued to work even after hard and soft "reboots" of the network. I've been using this for about two months now (edit: six months now). Edit: survived the great power outage of 2008 and came back immediately with no reconfiguration necessary.Note: this product does not work with Mac OS-X 10.5 (Tiger).I'd give it five stars if it was a little bit cheaper. No reconfiguration was necessary. and it is great to be able to print from anywhere in the house. It was easy to set up and I have it running with an ancient HP Laserjet 1160.
Not happy with it. It would not work with my printer,Now I`m out sixty dollars.I get the run around to get a refund or get credit for it.
The IT guy at work called up tech support at Lynksys and was told that the software for Wireless-G is buggy.Not for this one. I had previously bought a Lynksys Wireless-G Printserver before buying this unit. Maybe this one is not as convenient as the wireless version but it serves me well and I am happy with it. This is a breeze in setting up. I am a regular computer user and typically most software downloads would post no problem. However, I couldn't install the Wireless-G.
